The sea doesn’t allow carelessness and if you have any damages within the term of your charter the deposit will cover the repair works and spares. The difference (if there is any) will be refunded. But in most cases charters go smooth without any breaches or accidents. The whole deposit amount is refunded to you after the end of your cruise. In our Spanish base the deposit is to be left after the check in procedure is completed that means that you have thoroughly checked the technical conditions of the yacht and availability of all necessary equipment and stuff. On the check in you will have the check list – in case you have a crewed charter we recommend to make check in together with your skipper. In Spain you may leave the deposit in cash, by wire transfer (in advance) or by means of your credit card. The refund will be done accordingly. Please mind that in case of card your bank may need a week or more to unblock the amount.
Yacht Voyage offers an opportunity to save your money by having your security deposit insured. The cost of the insurance you pay (400EUR for Lagoon450) will reduce the deposit to 700EUR. And your liability will be limited by this amount - 700EUR (instead of full deposit of 4000EUR) – this small deposit is also refundable in case you do not have any breaches. The cost of the insurance (400EUR) is not refunded. Please advise your sales manager that you wish to have a damage waiver in advance.
If you have any failures of important equipment during your charter on your request we will send you our technicians to make the repairs within 48 hours. Wherever you are we will provide technical assistance. The cost of the repair works will be covered from your security deposit if the breakage occurred by your fault or the company will be in charge if not.
If you hire a skipper we highly recommend you to check first if he has a personal insurance, it will protect your money in case of skipper's failures – he will cover the necessary repair from the amount that is compensated by his insurance company.
