A refundable deposit is done during the check in procedure at base. If you do not have any damages within the term of your charter the deposit is refunded in full at check out. If we detect some breaches that happened by your fault we cover the repairs from your deposit and make you a partial refund. In our Spanish base you may leave the deposit both in cash and by means of your credit card. Please mind that your bank may need a week or more to unblock the amount.

Yacht Voyage also offers to limit your liability by having the deposit insured (this is called damage waiver). In case of L 380 you will pay: 350EUR for the insurance service, the refundable deposit is thus reduced to 500EUR and in case of any damages the client´s liability will be limited by this amount. If there were no damages during your charter you will get the full refund of the reduced deposit but the insurance fee (300EUR) will not be refunded of course. Please advise your sales manager that you wish to have a damage waiver in advance.

If you have any failures of important equipment during your charter on your request we will send you our technicians to make the repairs within 48 hours. When it comes to the safety of customers Yacht Voyage reacts immediately. The catamaran has all the necessary safety and emergency equipment so it is as safe as a cruise liner.

Yacht Voyage offers bareboat charters. If you are the holder of sailing certificate with the allowance not less than 12 sea miles off shore you may rent a yacht without a skipper (after your nautical skills being checked). The contract is the official agreement about the services that Yacht Voyage renders to the customer. It stipulates the associated rules, dates, terms etc. We strongly recommend to look it through in advance and if necessary our sales team will focus on its important points and answer your questions.

The main clauses of the contract:

• Rental cost and deposit amount.
• Catamaran model.
• Dates of your charter.
• Embarkation/ disembarkation point. If it is not our base the terms and the delivery fee are agreed in advance (engine working hours and skipper service). You also have to communicate us in advance about the marina you have chosen for mooring.
• Check in and check out time when you should arrive at our base/ take the catamaran back to the base of your start (Saturday 17:00 – check in and Saturday 9:00 – check out). This is crucial.
• Catamaran equipment handling requirements
• Safety requirements for your sea voyage.

We need your and your mates’ documents scans to sign the paperwork at base.

There is also a rule concerning fuel and fecal tanks – you must deliver the catamaran to us with the fuel tanks full (or you pay the refueling at base) and fecal tanks empty.

Final cleaning service is payable and obligatory – first the guests say that they may clean the boat by themselves and never do afterwards that is why final cleaning is mandatory in yacht charter business all over the world.

Payment schedule: 50% upon the booking confirmation and the rest 50% a month prior to the charter start. We offer maximal early booking discounts – up to 31/12 of the year prior to the year of embarkation We have a very client friendly discount policy and if possible always try to make the best offers especially to our repeaters.

The rental price includes ONLY the rent of the boat ready to sail. Crew, transfer, provision and other services are NOT INCLUDED and you should request and pay them directly to the providers of these services. We do not undertake responsibility for them. Moorings, car allowances, customs duties, connection to the port electricity and water sources are paid by the customer separately.

We may support your search by sharing with you our trusted skipper/hostess/chef list. We will gladly consult you regarding the provisioning or shopping, airport transfer or accommodation in the local hotels and advise reasonable prices to help you making the right choice. Note that we do not mediate in your agreements with other companies or third persons.

What you need to know about the catamaran that you take.

Sailing catamaran Lagoon380 with its rather small size gives a very nice accommodation at sea for 8 persons moreover it is certified for maximum 12 persons. There are 4 spacious cabins with queen-size beds, closets etc. In the saloon there are necessary household equipment for cooking and keeping your provisioning. There are lounge zones in the back like sofas around the table, above the saloon and in the bow – a net between the forepeaks. You may even sleep with comfort in the open air on the deck. There is also all the necessary navigation equipment and autopilot. But being the simplest version in our fleet Lagoon 380 has just 2 heads with manual pump in the toilet and rather simple showers. A water maker is not provided on L 380 that is why it has a water tank with the capacity of 300 l. Note that this is not portable water and you should purchase it by yourself. The cabin do not have air conditioning but nobody ever suffered any inconveniences from it because of fans and illuminators that is easily opened. Sea provides you with fresh breeze daily. Each Lagoon has a dinghy with the outboard engine and snorkeling sets.

The catamaran is equipped with a life raft and other emergency and rescue means. The catamaran has due safety equipment aboard for all passengers and some additional sets. Our fleet is subject to thorough technical safety checks and its emergency equipment is being controlled.

Is a bareboat charter in Spain your choice?

The Spanish islands of Mallorca and Ibiza are famous for the variety of entertainment they offer to tourists. Everybody will find something for his heart and his budget here: the young, families with children, romantic couples and well-off businessmen or celebrities. Formentera and Menorca are less famous but they are loved by those who enjoys the tranquility of virgin nature and peaceful cozy bays accessible only from sea. These are environmentally pristine zones but your small barbeque ashore will not be forbidden. We never put limits to your routes – these are your free choice. And if it is your first time your skipper can be your guide that will recommend places of interest on your route. The provisioning for the skipper will be at your expense during this week that means you will share table with your best friend, assistant and the person in charge for your safety that is why skipper choice is a very important matter. Pay special attention to it. He will also advise local shops with reasonable prices and the entertainment in marinas. We will advise average rates for moorings – usually they range between 140-200 EUR per night, and include your getting connected to the electricity source of the marina and your tanks refilled with water. The cost of transfer from the nearest airport to our base starts from 20 EUR for a car and 50 EUR for a micro bus.

The first day – from Palma de Mallorca you go to Soller, you will pass a lot of places where you may have lunch and swim. On the second day after having enjoyed the orange and olive groves of Soller move to Pollensa famous for its artists, and hang around historical and tourist localities of Mallorca during your third day. Visit Porto-Cristo on the fourth day where kings of Mallorca spend their summer vacation, and go to Formentera – calm and peaceful place for wild tourism lovers and mountain climbing fans. Spend your fifth and sixth days in Ibiza - no need to advertise this place. And get back to the base in Palma de Mallorca in your last day.

Let’s summarize. Normally a charter lasts 7 day – from Saturday to Saturday, you rent the whole boat, not only your cabin. On the day of check in you should arrive at our base by 17:00, on the last sailing day you should arrive back to home port before 18 as night sailing is not allowed. Your check out will be next morning and the base technicians need time to revise the boat and the underwater part of the hull. On return the yacht must be with full fuel tanks and with empty fecal tanks. If during the check out procedure there are some breaches detected you will have to cover the repair works and spares from your security deposit (the difference will be refunded). You may use the deposit insurance service (damage waiver) that in some cases is highly recommended. Your sea routes depend on your preferences. Yacht Voyage offers you a bareboat charter and charges you only the rental cost of the boat.

And now the key question – what budget you need to spend your vacation at a yacht.

Let’s take an average rental price of 4600 EUR as the rates vary significantly within the season (from 3000 to 6800 EUR).

Mandatory extras will add 370 EUR.

Fuel – up to 200 EUR per week.

Skipper service - 1400 EUR per week.

Some additional extra - 100 EUR per week.

Provision - 300 EUR.

Let’s divide the total amount into 8 persons and the result will be around 900 EUR per person.

The flight and visa will cost 400 EUR.

The grand total is 1300 EUR per person.

And the final budget of the yacht rent (deposit not included) is 10400EUR.

Let’s compare it with a hotel stay: a double room in a decent 4-star hotel is approximately 1200 EUR. Your meals will be a bit more expensive - for a lunch you need to spend around 40 EUR, if you add a rather tiny breakfast and a rather small dinner the total per day for 2 persons will be minimum 80 EUR that results in 560 EUR per week. Adding at least one excursion, sightseeing around the island (not islands) beach rates and some associated expenses we get minimum 350-400 EUR. the total per one person will be thus 1000 EUR. The flight and visa will add 400 EUR, and here you are with the same result: 1300 EUR per person. But the level of comfort, the opportunity to see new places every day of your stay, your emotions (and of course a bit more of self-esteem) – are beyond any comparison. If you travel with your children you will feed even a stronger difference.

We haven’t added the deposit amount because it is anyway refundable (if no damages occurred). But you anyway have some emergency funds during your vacation, don’t you?!
