Rent of a yacht Lagoon 400S2 in Spain Prices and terms for the year 2019

Upon your check in and signing the protocol you need to leave the refundable security deposit. If you have any damages within the term of your charter the deposit will cover the repair works and spares. The difference will be refunded. If you do not have any damages, the deposit is refunded in full at check out. The base manager is always present at check in and check out. In our Spanish base you may leave the deposit both in cash and by means of your credit card. Please mind that your bank may need a week or more to unblock the amount.

Yacht Voyage also offers to have your deposit insured and thus limit your liability by a smaller amount. For example: the cost of the insurance (330EUR) will reduce the deposit to 550EUR (the full amount of the deposit is 3300EUR). Now in case of damages your expenses will be limited by this amount and if no problems occurred you will get back the refundable part. The cost of the insurance (330EUR) is not refundable of course. Please advise your sales manager that you wish to have a damage waiver in advance. Your sales manager will offer you this opportunity.

If you have any failures of important equipment during your charter on your request we will send you our technicians to make the repairs within 48 hours. Wherever you are we will provide technical assistance. The cost of the repair works will be covered from your security deposit if the breakage occurred by your fault.

You are free to take a bareboat charter or crewed. Yacht Voyage will gladly let you sail by yourself if your certificate stipulates the allowance not less than 12 sea miles off shore. Your sailing skills will be checked at base as well. In advance we require your filling in the sailing experience form, see here. If you are not the holder of a sailing certificate you will have to hire a skipper, the one with his personal insurance is highly desired because it will save your money from any possible failures of the skipper. You may request associated services from our partners before you arriving at base. Yacht Voyage offers some extras too (generally water toys for a rent) – they are payable on spot in our Mallorca base. You may pay with cash or your card.

Your contract is the document that stipulates the terms and conditions of your relationship with Yacht. We strongly recommend to look it through in advance, please see the link below. Of course if necessary our sales team will focus on its important points and answer your questions.

The main clauses of the contract:

• Rental cost and deposit amount.
• Term of your charter. Normally starts from one week.
• Embarkation/ disembarkation point. If you feel more comfortable to embark in a port other than our base sometimes we are ready to offer this possibility. It requires a delivery fee and the terms should be agreed in advance.
• Check-in/check-out time. You need arrive to our base on Saturday by 17:00 to check the technical conditions of the yacht and sign the protocol, and in the end of your charter (Saturday 9:00) you have to be ready to leave.
• Catamaran equipment handling and safety requirements. These points are rarely read and as a result the customers leave a part the security deposit to cover the breakages.
• Your and your mates’ documents scans.
• There is also a rule concerning fuel and fecal tanks. You get your Lagoon 400 with the fuel tanks full and fecal tanks empty. You must return the catamaran in the same condition - fuel tanks full and fecal tanks empty. Refueling is possible in almost any marina, the fecal tanks can only be emptied off sanitary area (a skipper must know where). You will pay a fee unless these conditions are fulfilled.
• Final cleaning – none of the guests is willing to entertain himself with cleaning the whole yacht, that is why Yacht Voyage undertakes to organize this and final cleaning is a common practice.

The payment schedule for Lagoon400S2: 50% upon the booking confirmation and the rest 50% a month prior to the charter start.

Available discounts: if you book and make the down payment up to the end of the year prior to the year of the charter we make you a discount. As well you may ask for a special offer from your manager and we are glad to meet our customers half-way.

As per the contract Yacht Voyage provides a catamaran Lagoon 400S2 for a rent and charges the customer accordingly. The catamaran is in ready to sail condition, technically prepared and fueled. It will be waiting for you in the check in point and by the time stipulated in the contract. Yacht Voyage is also responsible for the mandatory services associated to your cruise.

Crew, transfer, provision and other services are NOT INCLUDED and you should request and pay them directly to the providers of these services. Please remember that Yacht Voyage does not provide skippered charters and you should choose him for yourself and pay for his service directly. The same about your provisioning. Moorings, spending nights in marinas, connection to the port electricity and water sources are paid by the customer separately (see below the details).

We may also provide you with a list of taxi companies, provisioning services etc. Our aim is to save your money and recommend you reasonable prices. The choice, arrangements, financial terms is what customer organizes without our mediation. Visas and flights are either out of the services we offer but we may advise you some useful and trusted links.

What you need to know about the catamaran that you take.

Sailing catamaran Lagoon400 with its rather small size – 12 m long and 7,5 m wide gives a very nice accommodation at sea for 12 people. But it is much comfortable if the company consists of eight. There are 4 spacious cabins with 4 heads (toilet and shower). In each cabin there is king-size bed (2х2 m), closets and space for storage of your belongings and cloths. Additionally guests may rest in a spacious saloon where there is a convertible dinette (suitable for 2 persons) plus 2 single forepeak cabins with tiny beds (normally meant for crew). They don’t have any closets at all and are mentioned only to sleep. In the central saloon there is a sofa, convertible table, gas cooker with oven, wash basin, fridge and fan. By the way fans and illuminators that are easily opened are in all the cabins. If you wish to have air conditioning you will need a bigger boat like Lagoon450, that will be more expensive. For this money you will have electric toilets, this small detail will bring other level of comfort to your vacation! Ask those who experienced a toilet with manual pump. There are lounge zones in the deck like sofas around the table, above the saloon and in the bow – a net between the forepeaks. You may even sleep with comfort in the open air on the deck. There is also all the necessary navigation equipment and autopilot. A water maker is not provided that is why this model has a water tank with the capacity of 300 l. Note that this is not portable water. You should purchase portable water by yourself. Snorkeling sets and a dinghy are provided for free.

The catamaran is equipped with a life raft and other emergency and rescue means like life vests and life rings. The catamaran has due safety equipment aboard for all passengers and some additional sets. Our fleet is subject to thorough technical safety checks and its emergency equipment is being controlled.

Spain + local skipper = unforgettable vacation!

he Spanish islands of Mallorca and Ibiza are famous for the variety of entertainment they offer to tourists. Everybody will find something for his heart and his budget here: the young, families with children, romantic couples and well-off businessmen or celebrities. Formentera and Menorca are less famous but they are loved by those who enjoys the tranquility of virgin nature and peaceful cozy bays as well as fans of mounting climbing. These environmentally pristine zones and historical locations are waiting for you. Your will always remember a small barbeque ashore under the stars. Taking care about your freedom we never put limits to your routes – these are your free choice and recommendations of your skipper. He may also be your guide, assistant and companion. The provisioning for the skipper will be at your expense during this week that means you will share table with your best friend – mind that the skipper choice is a crucial question, to which you should pay special attention (don’t hesitate to ask of the skipper’s personal insurance). He will also advise local shops with reasonable prices and the entertainment in marinas. And we will advise average rates for moorings – usually they range between 140-200 EUR per night, and include your getting connected to the electricity source of the marina and your tanks refilled with water. Transfer from the airport ranges from 20 EUR for a car to 50 EUR for a micro bus.

The first day – from Palma de Mallorca you go to Soller, you will pass a lot of places where you may have lunch and swim. On the second day after having enjoyed the orange and olive groves of Soller move to Pollensa famous for its artists, and hang around historical and tourist localities of Mallorca during your third day. Visit Porto-Cristo on the fourth day where kings of Mallorca spend their summer vacation, and go to Formentera – calm and peaceful place for wild tourism lovers and mountain climbing fans. Spend your fifth and sixth days in Ibiza - no need to advertise this place. And get back to the base in Palma de Mallorca in your last day.

Let’s summarize. Normally a charter lasts 7 day – from Saturday to Saturday, you rent the whole boat, not only your cabin. Вы On the day of check in you should arrive at our base by 17:00, on the last day you have to check out up to 9 a.m. The yacht must be with full fuel tanks and with empty fecal tanks. If during the check out procedure there are some breaches detected you will have to cover the repair works and spares from your security deposit (the difference will be refunded). You may use the deposit insurance to save your money. Your sea routes are drafted by yourself with the assistance of your skipper, you pay your moorings, night stays in marinas etc. If you want to anchor near the shore you will save some money too). And getting to the beach is easy with the dinghy you have aboard.

And now the key question – what budget you need to spend your vacation at a yacht (compared with a hotel accommodation).

Let’s take an average rental price of 5500 EUR as the rates vary significantly within the season (from 3500 to 8100 EUR in high season).

Mandatory extras will add - 370 EUR.

Fuel – up to 200 EUR per week.

Skipper service - 1400 EUR per week.

Some additional extra - 100 EUR.

Provisioning 300 EUR.

Let’s divide the total amount into 8 persons and the result will be around 1000 EUR per person.

The flight and visa will cost 400 EUR.

The grand total is around 1400 EUR per person.

And the final budget of the yacht Lagoon400 rent in Spain (deposit not included) is 11200 EUR.

Let’s compare it with a hotel stay: a double room in a decent 4-star hotel for a week is approximately 1200 EUR. Your meals will be a bit more expensive - for a lunch you need to spend around 40 EUR, if you add a rather tiny breakfast and a rather small dinner the total per day for 2 persons will be minimum 80 EUR, that results in 560 EUR per week. Adding at least one excursion, sightseeing around the island (not islands), beach rates and some associated expenses we get minimum 350-400 EUR. The total per one person will be thus 1000 EUR. The flight and visa will add 400 EUR, and here you are with the same result 1300 EUR per person. But imagine crowded beaches full of children of all ages and queues to get the best in the buffet. Not to mention the condition of the beach and in-shore water. And now imagine your waking up from delicate sea breeze and enjoying the clear sea in a distant pristine bay. Amazing views are coming to you while you taste your glass of wine, no crowded streets there, dusty and busy roads or public transport. If you travel with your children you will feed even a stronger difference.
